Panta Rei is an ancient Greek expression meaning “everything flows.” It's a philosophy that embraces change, and a fitting name for a business that never seems to stand still.

It started with soap. Naturally, it didn't stop there.

I can't tell you exactly what first sparked my interest in soapmaking. There wasn't a particular problem I was trying to solve or a grand plan to launch a business. I've always been curious about all sorts of things, and at some point, making soap became one of them.

So I tried it.

Before long, I was making soaps for the guest rooms at Top of the Ridge Farm B&B, our boutique inn in New Durham, New Hampshire. Guests began asking if they could purchase them, so I started making more.

Eventually, I thought, Well, why not turn this into a business?

And since I've never been particularly good at doing anything halfway, I went all in.

Panta Rei Made was born, complete with its own identity, branding, and a growing collection of products. What started in our guest rooms has since expanded to local shops, wholesale customers, and other inns that now offer our products to their own guests.

The fun is in discovering what's next.

Soapmaking might have started it all, but my curiosity was never going to let me stop at soap.

Today, Panta Rei Made includes handcrafted soaps, skincare, bath and body products, and home fragrances. We've also developed a collection of grooming and care products specifically for dogs.

And even within one product category, I rarely settle on a single way of making something.

I'm fascinated by different formulations, unfamiliar ingredients, interesting techniques, and the possibilities that come from combining them. Sometimes that means exploring ingredients used in other parts of the world. Other times, it's simply experimenting with a different texture, fragrance, or approach to a familiar product.

Some experiments become favorites that I happily make again. Others lead to entirely new ideas. The process of trying, learning, adjusting, and discovering is a big part of what I enjoy.

Made in small batches. Always evolving.

We make our products in small batches in New Hampshire, with an emphasis on thoughtful ingredients, creative formulations, and practical choices that help reduce unnecessary packaging.

Our collection isn't meant to remain static. You'll find dependable favorites alongside new creations, seasonal offerings, and the occasional experiment that turned out too well not to share.

That's the beauty of Panta Rei: everything flows, everything changes, and there's always something new to explore.
